Account Deletion Policy

Effective date: 9 August 2026

You can delete your ArtistrySynk account yourself. You do not need to contact support.

How to delete your account

In the app: Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete My Account. On the web: https://artistrysynk.app/data-deletion.

The steps

1. Request — we explain the consequences and ask you to type DELETE to confirm.
2. Email confirmation — we email a confirmation link to your account address. Nothing is deleted until you open it. This prevents accidental and unauthorised deletion.
3. 7-day grace period — after you confirm, your deletion is scheduled 7 days out. You can undo it at any time from Settings, or from the link in the confirmation email.
4. Permanent deletion — after the grace period your profile, settings, sessions and account are permanently removed.

Download your data first

Before deleting, use Settings → Privacy & Data → Your Data → Download my data to export your profile, settings, portfolio, projects and other information.

What is removed

Your profile, avatar and cover image, bio, roles, genres and skills, portfolio items, settings and notification preferences, sessions and devices, swipes, matches and your side of conversations, and your sign-in credentials.

What may be retained, and why

• Safety and moderation records — reports, decisions and enforcement history, so bans cannot be evaded and so we can protect other users.
• Security and audit records — for a limited period, to investigate abuse and security incidents.
• Payment and transaction records — where financial or tax law requires them.
• Content in shared spaces — messages you sent to another person, and contributions to shared project rooms, may remain visible to those participants. Where possible these are shown without your personal identifiers.

Retained records are minimised, access-controlled, and deleted when the retention purpose ends.
